My Transition from Search
Dear Friends,
Living things grow.
For almost 33 years, I have had the amazing opportunity to grow and serve God and you as the Baltimore Area Director for Search Ministries. But now I feel called to take the next growth step. After an extended time of prayer and healthy discernment with the leadership of Search, I made the decision to resign from Search at the end of October. I make this move with their blessing.
I will be leaving Search to start my own ministry, Leadline Ministries.
A leadline is an ancient navigational tool. It is a weight sailors would throw overboard to measure the depth of the waters to help guide their ships. We do not often think of depth as a guidance tool, but it turns out it is. That is what leadlines do.
For the past 33 years, I have been using Scripture to help adults take their next steps towards God and others by building their relational and spiritual depth. It has been good work that God has blessed.
My transition to Leadline Ministries will enable me to do this work in an even more focused and efficient way. I will continue to create large and small group experiences, as well as crucial one on one times, to help adults take their next steps towards God and others. For some, it will be that crucial first step when they hear Jesus’ gracious invitation to life in the gospel. For others, it will be a step of spiritual growth as they develop greater understanding of God and life.
